Please contact me to let me know the date you need the cake/cupcakes for, where your celebration is taking place, how many people you are catering for and any ideas that you have about the style  (photos, description,sketch, fabric, words etc...) design, or colours.  I can then show/send you some designs for your approval/feedback.  I'm happy to have a consultation in person, on the phone, 01935 840 618, or through email:
 
Most celebration cakes/cupcakes need about two weeks notice, but if your design is large and/or elaborate I may need at least a month's notice.  For a wedding or very grand affair significantly more time is needed (2 months to a year is usual) so I can book your date.  Some decorations need to be made in advance to allow them to dry properly, and sugar flowers take several weeks just because of the amount of work involved. If it is an emergency do contact me - I may still be able to help!
Delivery:
 
I deliver in my immediate local area for free (within 10 miles of Ilchester) and charge a standard mileage rate for outside this area - going throughout Somerset or further for large orders.  You are also welcome, to come and collect your cake.  Most brides opt for the cake designer to deliver and set up their cake for them, and I will happily give you the details I require for this service.
 
The prices below are guide prices only. When I discuss your individual design with you I will give you an individual quote. These prices give you some idea of what to expect. The measurements are given for the cake on its own and minimum portion sizes - marzipan, icing and decorations will increase the size.  All cakes listed are round, other shapes and sizes are also available. 
 
All cakes will require a deposit before an order is confirmed.
 
Individually handcrafted character cake toppers are also available and priced according to the type of topper required.

Please note that portion sizes depend on how the caterer cuts it, but as a rule allow 1 inch square for fruit cake and 2 inch x 1 inch for sponge.  Cake is usually 3 inch deep, depending on design, so this will give you an idea of the finished size of portion.  If you want larger portions, say for a birthday cake cut in wedges, allow extra cake. Novelty cakes are priced separately and portion sizes adjusted to allow for different cake shapes.
